The purpose of the Made in Warren Artist Cooperative is to allow artists from southeastern New England to effectively market their art and merchandise to the public through a cooperative effort. The storefront provides these artists greater exposure and sales for only a small financial and time commitment.
Any artist that has a connection to the art community in southeastern New England will be considered for membership. The cooperative is limited to forty-five members, and each artist’s contracts run from the date of signed contract for one subsequent year. In addition to a monthly membership fee (paid annually or monthly), each member is also responsible for an annual contract fee at the start of each new contract. Each artist is also responsible to sit either one eight (8) hour hour shift or two (2) four (4) hour shifts each month as part of their obligation to the cooperative, as well as supporting the Cooperative in some other way (e.g., by serving on display, helping with PR, etc.).
The artist is responsible for providing their own display (which they will own) if needed. The artist shall own all rights to any item that is being displayed and is responsible for insuring their own works, if desired. Rhode Island art sales are tax free!

Made in Warren seeks to offer our customers original and hand-made works of art, though we will review certain genres of artist reproductions such as prints.
Our store does not offer a fitting room. We are not able to review applicant's items requiring body sizing, e.g., blouses, pants, skirts, dresses. However, we can review outerwear and accessories.
When preparing an application for us please remember: great photos make our jury's job a lot easier! We request photographs using well-lit items on plain backgrounds. Thank you!
Most importantly, we seek to add artisans who understand the community arts initiative and sweat equity. Please indicate on the application what you have to offer to Made In Warren's collaborative effort.
